Quality Controller

Full-time

You will be part of the Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager helping to ensure that quality of parts arriving are of the highest standard.

The role will include, but will not be limited to:-

  • Performing metrological checks and inspections using datasheets, drawings and measurement
  • Investigation of any issues found, documenting and liaising with the relevant departments
  • Working with the Purchasing team and suppliers to ensure the quality of parts delivered
  • Ensuring all parts are correctly specified, with accurate and concise documentation, includes supplier and Invertek criteria
  • The ability and motivation to work alone and as part of a team, and the ability to grow with the department

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree/HNC or equivalent in an electronic or engineering discipline
  • Strong inspection and practical problem solving background, with a good eye for detail and organisation skills
  • Previous quality inspection experience
  • Ideally experience gained within the electronics manufacturing sector
  • You must be proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Good computer skills - Sage, Internet, Word, Excel

Product Technician / Engineer

Full-time or occasional work (flexible contract)

Successful applicants will be skilled in the manufacture and repair of complex electronic products and will have experience of working within fast moving, team focused, production processes.

Skills required as follows:

  • Minimum HNC Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Able to fault find electronic circuits to component level
  • Familiar with using electronic test equipment and familiar in use of oscilloscopes
  • Previous experience in power electronic product manufacture and repair would be helpful

The successful candidates will be HNC qualified in engineering (ideally electronics) and have experience in both engineering and production management.

Invertek Drives is seeking to appoint a Product Manager to take responsibility for all aspects of its product range. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Product Management and will play a key role in helping to grow the product portfolio to support the company’s ambitious expansion plans.

Working as part of the Sales & Marketing team the role will involve:

  • Managing the technical and commercial aspects of a product range or ranges
  • Producing product specification documentation, and working with customers to agree the content
  • Managing the project through to final production, ensuring that the final product matches the intended spec
  • Presenting to both commercial and technically biased audiences the features and benefits

Skills and experience:

  • A suitable Engineering qualification
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the Variable Speed Drives Industry
  • Excellent customer facing skills

The company is currently recruiting for an experienced Documentation Manager to manage all aspects of the company’s technical literature. The ideal candidate should have an engineering background, ideally in electronics and preferably within the drives industry, although this is not compulsory.

Reporting to the Technical Manager as part of the Product support team, the role will involve:

  • Design and layout of technical documents such as operation and service manuals
  • Maintaining consistency of data of key technical information across various platforms
  • Working with external companies to maintain translated documentation versions
  • Ensuring documentation complies with various required standards
  • Maintaining up to date information on the company website

Skills required as follows:

  • Experience of producing documents intended for engineers and end users
  • Some knowledge of databases would also be an advantage
