Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Development of Embedded Industrial communication interface modules; concentrating on software development, test, and certification
  • Help define hardware and firmware architecture
  • Maintain products through various stages of their lifecycle
  • Develop a strong understanding of the systems we use and learn new technologies to help advance our applications

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in relevant Software or Electronics discipline
  • Strong Embedded C Programming skills (MISRA, Secure coding practices etc)

  • Familiarity with C# programming for development of support and test tools

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with experience and knowledge of AC Drives
  • Ideally qualified BTEC (or higher), undergoing qualification in Electronic Engineering or the prerequisites to do so
  • Good IT skills: Excel and word are essential

Innovation Process Coordinator Full-time

As an Innovation Process Coordinator at Invertek Drives, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful launch of new products. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing our project development processes, through the use of the stage-gates, as well as ensuring the completeness of product releases. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be pivotal for the continuous improvement of our product portfolio.

Based at our Welshpool Head Office, Invertek Drives are seeking to appoint an Innovation Process Coordinator your role will include, but not limited to:

Market Research and Design Review (MR/DR):

  • Track the implementation of tasks and requirements throughout all stages following the stage-gate process.
  • Organise and run monthly project meetings with the Executive Invertek members.
  • Review data for new projects and submit for approval.
  • Coordinate feedback loops between innovation, operations, validation, and customer-facing teams.

Product Release Data:

  • Gather and consolidate data related to product releases.
  • Work closely with development teams to compile necessary information.
  • Prepare data for production launch.

Engineering Change Notes (ECNs):

  • Review and verify the completeness of ECNs and associated data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of ECNs for new product releases.

Other Duties:

  • Collaborate on additional tasks and projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience in quality assurance (preferred but not essential)
  • Prior experience in the electronics industry (preferred but not essential)
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.

We have a vacancy for a high-profile team member, in our Quality Department who will work closely with the quality manager and suppliers, to ensure that the quality of parts delivered are to the highest standard.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining the current high-quality standards
  • Analyse and resolve supplier quality issues
  • Ensure all parts are correctly specified
  • Provide leadership skills in driving major quality improvement projects forward
  • Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Analyse failures and pin-point areas of concern and correct

Must have:

  • Mechanical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering or relevant experience in a quality role
  • Accurate and a good eye for detail
  • Excellent MS Office skills
