As a responsible organisation, Invertek Drives, strives to bring economic benefits and a range of skills based opportunities to both its local community and the communities in which it operates. Invertek contributes in excess of £5m annually to the Powys economy through employment, sponsorship and its support for the region's visitor economy.

The company currently employs more than 230 people worldwide, including 195+ at its Welshpool Headquarters. Invertek welcomes more than 1,500 visitors per year to its production facility and all guests are encouraged to stay locally.

As one of Welshpool's largest employers, Invertek is well aware of the importance of ensuring the region’s young people have the skills needed to maximise their chances of success when they leave education. It offers a number of workplace based opportunities for students from local schools and colleges including factory visits, work experience and industrial placements. These work-based opportunities can also result in University sponsorship for students that demonstrate outstanding commitment and potential.

Invertek values its people at all levels and runs an in-house 'Technician Program' which recognises and rewards individual effort by promoting employees along a pre-programmed skills path so they can earn the highest rate of pay. The program has been designed to develop staff engagement, quality and productivity and has resulted in a motivated, loyal workforce keen to support Invertek's ambitious expansion plans.

The company also understands the valuable contribution that part-time staff can make and offers a range of both flexible and permanent contracts to ensure it attracts the best people for the job, whatever their personal circumstances.
