Invertek is delighted to announce a two year partnership between Invertek Drives Australia and Landcare Australia – a national network made up of thousands of locally-based community groups that care for the country’s natural resources.

The partnership has been formed to raise awareness of the energy saving capabilities and associated environmental benefits of Invertek’s variable speed drives (VSDs), and to help generate much-needed funds to support Landcare’s vital work.

The Invertek Landcare Australia partnership will begin by raising funds for the Landcare & Coastcare Grants program which will be launched in time for the 2014/15 summer period. Invertek Australia has agreed to donate (AUD) $100 from every Pool Pump Drive sold between March and December 2014 – all monies raised will go into a pot that local groups can apply to for help with funding specific projects.

Invertek Australia Director, Brett Masters, comments, “Invertek is an environmentally responsible organisation that aims to help businesses and individuals reduce their energy consumption wherever possible. The partnership with Landcare Australia provides an excellent opportunity for us to take this ethos one step further by actually helping to fund some of the vital work undertaken by member groups to safeguard the future of our environment.”  

The initial campaign aims to help Landcare and Coastcare groups address local biodiversity issues to improve ecosystems which are vital to the survival of native animals such as fish, frogs and turtles.

Landcare CEO, Tessa Jakszewicz, says, “Extensive clearing of vegetation in coastal areas has caused widespread environmental problems, including changes to the habitat of many animal species, degraded waterways and declining water health. With support from Invertek, Landcare and Coastcare groups across Australia will be working on activities such as planting native seedlings, weed removal and riparian restoration activities at various sites, supporting on ground works that regenerate and repair our precious landscape and coastal environments.”
