Product Technician / Engineer

Full-time or occasional work (flexible contract)

Successful applicants will be skilled in the manufacture and repair of complex electronic products and will have experience of working within fast moving, team focused, production processes.

Skills required as follows:

Logistics Technician

Full-time

Invertek Drives is dedicated to the design and manufacture of sophisticated variable frequency drives, used to control motors in a wide variety of industrial and energy saving applications.

We have a vacancy for a high-profile team member, who will fill a wide-ranging role and will work closely with various departments to ensure OTIF delivery, through accurate invoicing and timely despatching of goods.

Duties will include raising invoices, despatching goods, creating ‘Certificate of Origin’, dealing with ‘Proforma Invoices’, arranging for freight transportation to customers all over the world, ensuring customer shipment requirements are met and much much more. This position will suit a self-starter, who can handle the inevitable pressure.

Must have:

  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, with a focus on a ‘can do’ way of thinking
  • Adaptable to business requirements

Invertek Drives is seeking to appoint a Product Manager to take responsibility for all aspects of its product range. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Product Management and will play a key role in helping to grow the product portfolio to support the company’s ambitious expansion plans.

Working as part of the Sales & Marketing team the role will involve:

  • Managing the technical and commercial aspects of a product range or ranges
  • Producing product specification documentation, and working with customers to agree the content
  • Managing the project through to final production, ensuring that the final product matches the intended spec

Innovation Technician

Reporting to the Product Integrity Manager your role will include, but not limited to:-

  • Drive type testing to validate new designs.
  • Producing detailed reports.
  • Building prototype and NPI PCBs, drives and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with experience and knowledge of AC Drives.
  • Ideally qualified BTEC (or higher), undergoing qualification in Electronic Engineering or the prerequisites to do so.
  • Good IT skills: Excel and word are essential.
  • Good organisation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
