Staff at Welshpool-based Invertek Drives have raised more than £600 for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

Employees made cakes which were sold in aid of the charity as part of its annual coffee morning fundraiser.

Donations amounted to more than £300 from staff and the company matched the amount to over £600.

Bryony Wilson, a member of the Customer Support team arranged the event. “It was great to be able to help raise money for such an important charity. We’d like to thank the company for doubling the amount raised by staff. It all makes a difference.”

Invertek Drives manufactures variable frequency drives at its global headquarters and manufacturing facility at the Buttington Cross Enterprise Park at Welshpool, Powys. It employs more than 200 people at the site as part of its international operations.
