Invertek team digs out running shoes to support Hope House Children's Hospice

Thirteen colleagues from Invertek Drives have signed up to take part in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon to get fit and raise funds to help local children.

Alt text not available Hope House Children’s Hospice has secured 50 places in the annual running event and is delighted that the Invertek team has already snapped up a quarter of the places.

“As one of Welshpool's largest local employers Invertek Drives puts local community support high on its agenda. Providing support to Hope House forms part of our ongoing programme to help bring economic benefits and a range of skills based opportunities to the local community,” said Rhydian Welson, Sales and Marketing Director at Invertek Drives.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 13th and involves running 13.1 miles around the lake at Llanwyddyn.

Hope House’s group entry is part of its 2015 Challenge Series, which also includes Chester Half, Shrewsbury Half, Chirk Castle Half, North Wales Half, Shrewsbury Triathlon, Farndon 10K and Conwy Half.

Supporters register to take part through the charity and commit to raising a minimum of £100 to help the charity in its work with terminally ill local children. In return they receive a limited edition Hope House running vest, and the charity will be there in force to cheer them on at the event!

Hope House Fundraising Manager Vanessa Thomas said, “Invertek has supported us generously for a number of years and the company really appreciates the importance of the services we provide to terminally ill local children and their families.

“We are truly delighted to have the Invertek team running in our colours at Lake Vyrnwy and we are really looking forward to cheering them on!”
