Invertek Drives and SP Electric are returning to Lift Expo Italia in Milan from 28 to 30 October 2026, where they will showcase the next generation of elevator motor control Optidrive Elevator Core variable frequency drive (VFD) at Stand A10 & A12.
Optidrive Elevator Core is suitable for new installations and modernisation projects. It offers an exceptionally compact size, ease of use, and a range of advanced features, delivering powerful and precise control for both geared and gearless traction systems.
The latest firmware release for Optidrive Elevator Core continues to redefine elevator motor control with its unique features and benefits. One of the key features of the drive is that it can be easily configured to match different elevator controller output signals, providing flexible control and allowing installers to use one solution across a range of lift systems.
With the Universal Encoder Module, Optidrive Elevator Core provides future-proof compatibility, removing the need for extra components. The latest firmware release now includes Hiperface, BiSS-C, and SSI encoder protocols, and further enhanced motor control and factory-set default parameters mean the drive is ready to use straight out of the box, with minimal tuning required for optimal product performance.
Including a USBC-C interface provides rapid parameter configuration without mains power, reducing commissioning time and simplifying service operation. Together with OptiTools Mobile app and its intuitive commissioning wizard guide, users benefit from step-by-step instructions and real-time feedback, allowing for quick and easy set-up of the drive.
The latest Travel Comfort Tuning dashboard in OptiTools Pro PC software makes it easier to control the drive, with clear visual feedback and analysis to help optimise travel comfort. The Travel Comfort Profile feature provides configurable travel profiles, allowing engineers to set acceleration, running, and stopping behaviour as required. With support for both creep and direct-to-floor profiles, the adjustable multi-step S-ramp helps ensure smooth and comfortable lift operation under different load conditions.
Andy Cross, Invertek Drives Business Development Manager who will be at the show, says: “We understand how important it is to have the right support every step of the way from installer right through to the maintenance engineer. That’s why, alongside Optidrive Elevator Core, we have created CORE ASSIST, an entire ecosystem of information and support.
He adds: ‘’Every drive has a QR code on the front, providing instant access to user manuals, application guides, videos, and a trip code troubleshooter wizard, all in one place. The latest Online Help Desk, also known as the Technical Reference Guide, allows users to search for a specific topic and instantly find relevant information and documentation. The whole system is designed to make the entire process from installation, set-up right through to maintenance as easy as possible for the customers.”
Optidrive Elevator Core has been independently certified by TÜV Rheinland and Liftinstituut for its specific safety functions. The drive is available in frame sizes 2, 3, and 4, with an IP20 rated enclosure.
We invite you to visit our stand A10 & A12 during Lift Expo Italia in Milan to see the latest Optidrive Elevator Core and learn more about the product and its benefits for the elevator industry.
