Invertek introduces latest VFD innovations to Indian automation industry

The Invertek Drives team in India will be introducing the company’s latest variable frequency drive innovations on stand E3, hall 6 at Automation Expo 2026 in Mumbai next month.

Invertek will be one of more than 2000 exhibitors showing their latest developments for industrial automation, robotics, and smart technologies at the show which is themed ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ and taking place from the 22nd-25th July at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC).

The India team will be introducing Optidrive E4 – Invertek’s brand new general purpose VFD, to Indian customers for the first time since its official launch at SPS last year.

Dual-channel safe torque off (STO) certified to SIL3, USB-C and Bluetooth connectivity, industrial ethernet communications, embedded diagnostics, and a built-in flight recorder are just some of the additional features offered by the E4.

Country Manager for Invertek in India, Bhupesh Katakkar, comments, “The rate of automation adoption in India, and the ongoing focus on energy efficiency, has driven the demand for high-quality motor control for a number of years.

“Industrial energy tariffs are a huge part of operating costs for Indian manufacturers, and electric motors account for a significant proportion of consumption. Using VFDs to control the speed of motors is the most effective way to reduce energy usage.

“The addition of the new Optidrive E4 to our wide-ranging product portfolio is a really exciting development and we’re looking forward to showing its capability to existing and potential customers.”

A number of variable frequency drives for specialist applications will also be on show at the Mumbai exhibition. These include Optidrive Eco for HVAC and pump applications, the Coolvert compressor and heat pump drive, the Elevator Core which offers advanced control for elevators, and the Compact 2 – a compact OEM drive for all motor types.

“Our extensive product offering means customers can be confident that their motor control will perform exactly as they need it to,” comments Bhupesh. “Whether that’s ensuring the smoothest motion possible for elevator applications, or the continuous operation required by compressors used in refrigeration systems.

“We exhibited at the Automation Expo in 2024 very successfully and we’re looking forward to an equally, if not more, successful show this year.”
