Invertek Drives is heading to one of the world's leading elevator and escalator exhibitions next week.
Promoting its Optidrive Elevator variable frequency drive (VFD), Invertek, one of the global leaders in the design and manufacturing of VFDs, will be attending the International Elevator and Escalator Expo 2018 in Mumbai.
The expo takes place between 27 February and 1 March.
Invertek has expertise in delivering solutions for the elevator industry with its Optidrive Elevator installed and operating within a range of commercial, industrial and residential properties worldwide.
The Optidrive Elevator is the second-generation dedicated elevator drive from Invertek Drives, designed to provide smooth, reliable carriage control in all elevator applications.
The compact external dimensions simplify installation, whilst optional incremental, Absolute (Endat and SinCos) encoder feedback interfaces allow compatibility with a wide range of motors.
Invertek's renowned motor control capability ensures maximum ride comfort under all conditions, with five independent S-ramps and dedicated motor holding brake control algorithm allowing fine tuning of the system.
Optidrive Elevator also incorporates a range of features including Rescue Mode, safe torque off, short floor, brake release monitoring, full load operation up to 50c and conformal coated PCB.
One example is in Ankara, Turkey. When the prestigious Umut residences were built by major Turkish developer ICK YAPI, the aim of the development was to ensure all residents enjoyed a comfortable life.
However, the development's two elevators were often providing jerky rides for residents in the 15 apartments and this is where the Optidrive Elevator was able to help.

"Combining the PM motor with the drive from Invertek gives excellent results and in this case has ensured perfect, non-stop working elevators.
"Installing the Optidrive Elevator has also resulted in high energy efficiency lifts with very low energy consumption, and again this is important for ICK YAPI who, as a premier developer in Turkey, want their residences to be as environmentally friendly as possible," he added.
As the organisers of IEE 2018 state: "Today, tall towers dominate the scene in the metros indicating the way forward for evolving cities and towns. The International Elevator and Escalator Expo is designed specifically to offer a premium platform at witnessing technological innovations, aesthetic designs and the progress in the vertical transportation industry."
Invertek, which operates globally with its headquarters, innovation and manufacturing facility at Welshpool, Wales, UK, will have staff on hand to discuss its VFD innovation and solutions with existing and new customers at the expo at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai.
