Hiflex, Invertek’s sales partner in the Netherlands, has been invited to present to two leading building services companies following a recent open day designed to demonstrate the powerful motor control capabilities of the Optidrive Eco variable frequency drive.

Hiflex welcomed more than 25 guests from approximately 20 companies to its headquarters near Rotterdam so it could explain the benefits of using the Optidrive Eco drive to control fans and pumps used in a variety of applications.

John van der Lugt, Head of Sales at Hiflex, comments “We find that being able to demonstrate the Eco drive in action is really helpful in explaining how customers can benefit from using this particular product. 

“We connected a general purpose drive and a size 3 Optidrive Eco to a motor controlling a fan, to demonstrate the difference that can be achieved when using a drive specifically designed for fan control applications. The reaction from visitors was very positive and we secured a sale on the day as a direct result of the demonstration.”

Dedicated HVAC building service features  offered by the Optidrive Eco include an intelligent energy optimisation feature to exactly match energy usage to the fan load; noise reduction & resonance avoidance technologies and a fire override mode to ensure the drive keeps working in emergency situations – including the provision of stairwell pressurisation and fume extraction services.
