Optidrive Elevator Core delivers precision control, safety compliance, and energy efficiency for modern vertical transportation systems
Invertek Drives will present its latest innovation in elevator control technology, the Optidrive Elevator Core, at Interlift 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany (14-17 October - Hall 3, Stand E100).
Designed specifically for the elevator industry, the drive combines advanced motor control algorithms with robust safety features to meet the demands of modern vertical transportation.
The Optidrive Elevator Core is engineered for precision and reliability, offering seamless control of geared and gearless traction systems.
Its compact footprint and high power density make it suitable for new installations and modernisation projects. At the same time, its integrated flight recorder provides real-time performance diagnostics for predictive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Including a USB-C interface allows rapid parameter configuration without mains power, reducing commissioning time and simplifying service operations.
Technical Specifications
The drive supports single and three-phase input voltages from 200V to 480V, with power ratings from 2.2kW to 22kW (3–30HP).
It is compatible with various encoder types, including the latest digital feedback systems, ensuring flexibility for OEMs and retrofit applications.
In critical scenarios, built-in safety functions such as anti-rollback, anti-stall, and emergency rescue modes guarantee uninterrupted operation. Compliance with EN81-A3 and EN12015 standards ensures adherence to global safety and EMC requirements.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
The Optidrive Elevator Core incorporates Invertek’s latest energy-optimising algorithms, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional control systems.
Its regenerative braking capability allows energy to be fed back into the building’s power supply, further lowering operational costs and environmental impact.
The drive’s low acoustic noise and temperature-controlled cooling system enhance passenger comfort while extending component life, contributing to sustainable building operations.
“Interlift provides an ideal platform to demonstrate how the Optidrive Elevator Core is redefining elevator control technology,” said Justin Walker, Elevator Core Product Manager at Invertek Drives.
“Its combination of advanced control, safety compliance, and energy efficiency makes it a compelling solution for OEMs and service providers worldwide.”
Visitors to the Invertek Drives stand will see live demonstrations of the Optidrive Elevator Core’s capabilities, including its intuitive setup process and energy-saving performance.
